A photo booth guest book combines printed pictures with handwritten messages. To make it work, agree on the print format and copies first, choose an album that fits them, and give guests a clear place to write. Renting a booth with prints does not automatically mean a finished scrapbook is included.

For a wedding or celebration in New Jersey, New York or Connecticut, the following plan separates the booth booking from the supplies and people needed to complete the book. It includes an original page-count example, sign wording and a checklist you can send to your venue or rental team.

Start with the keepsake you want

Choose between a book assembled during the party and an album you finish afterward. The first lets guests place a picture beside their message immediately. The second gives you more time to arrange photographs, but you need a reliable way to match every note to the correct picture.

A practical middle option is a loose-page station: guests complete separate sheets, then a named person gathers them for binding later. Test the sheets in your chosen binder beforehand. Do not assume a book advertised with 40 pages means 40 double-sided sheets; check how the seller counts usable surfaces.

Confirm prints before buying the album

Ask for the actual print dimensions and an example of the selected template. A strip and a larger postcard-style print need different writing space. Place a paper cutout of the confirmed size on a sample page, add the attachment method, and write a realistic message beside it.

Decide how many copies each session needs. One for the book plus one for the group is different from one for every person in the picture. For example, a four-person group wanting individual souvenirs plus a book copy needs five copies. That is a planning example, not a promise about printer speed or the number of copies supplied per session.

Ask how reprints and book copies will be handled within your booking. For context, New England Photo Booth’s scrapbook service explicitly describes its extra-copy and technician-assembly process. That is their offering, not a Party Perfect America inclusion; it shows why those details belong in a written quote.

How many pages should you allow?

Count expected entries, not just guests. Couples or families may write together, some guests may return for another photograph, and others may prefer to leave only a message. Use your guest list to make a working estimate rather than assuming everyone will participate.

Here is an illustrative calculation for 80 guests. If you plan for 40 group entries, give each entry one writing surface, and reserve eight additional surfaces, you need 48 usable surfaces. This does not predict attendance at the booth. Adjust the assumptions to your group and the album layout you have tested.

Planning choiceWhat to count
One group per surface40 planned entries + 8 spare surfaces = 48
Two groups per surface40 entries divided by 2 + 4 spare surfaces = 24
A two-page spread per group40 entries multiplied by 2 + 8 spare surfaces = 88

These are three alternative layouts, not recommended album capacities for every 80-person wedding. Check that photographs and handwriting genuinely fit. Leave the inside cover available for your names and date instead of accidentally counting it as guest space.

Give the writing station its own space

Guests waiting to take a picture and guests writing a note should not need the same standing position. Put the album on a stable surface beside the exit side of the booth area, subject to your venue’s approved layout. Keep drinks away from the book and provide a comfortable writing option for someone who needs to sit.

For broader placement questions, use our wedding photo booth location guide. For this station, test one complete journey: collect a print, find the page, attach it, write a message and leave without crossing the next group’s picture.

  • Bring the album or loose sheets, suitable photo attachments, tested pens and a small instruction sign.
  • Use attachment products intended for photographs and compatible with the album; follow their instructions.
  • Try the pens on the actual paper, including drying and smudging, before the event.
  • Name the person who will explain the book, replace supplies and collect it at the end.

A booth attendant may be responsible for equipment and sessions rather than assembling pages. Ask explicitly instead of allocating an extra job to them on the night.

Simple photo booth guest book sign wording

Leave a picture and a little note. Add a print to our guest book, write your names, and share a favorite memory or a wish for our next chapter. Thank you for being part of our celebration!

Add the confirmed copy instructions below this wording. Avoid telling every guest to take a second copy until the booth team has agreed how printing will work. A completed sample page can show the layout without a long explanation.

What does the Party Perfect America booth include?

As checked on October 13, 2026, the Retro Mirror Booth two-hour listing is $649. It lists an attendant, setup, props, a custom template or overlay, unlimited sessions and unlimited prints. The description also lists three hours at $749 and four hours at $849.

The listing does not specify an album, pens, adhesives, print dimensions, copies per session or scrapbook assembly. Confirm those separately, along with delivery, collection, taxes, access arrangements and the total for your venue. Do not treat the base booth price as an all-inclusive guest-book package.

Use our photo booth hours guide to choose operating time. Buying a longer booking does not by itself guarantee that every guest completes a page.

Before you confirm the booking

Send one brief with your date, venue address, guest count, booth operating window, print size, copy request and album plan. Identify who supplies each item and who takes the finished book home. Ask when and how any digital files are supplied if those are important to you; do not assume file delivery or retention terms.

Can a 360 video booth make this kind of guest book?

A video clip is a different output from a printed photograph. Do not book a video experience expecting a paper scrapbook unless a separate print workflow is confirmed. Our mirror versus 360 comparison explains the distinction.

Is this the same as an audio guest book?

No. An audio guest book collects spoken messages rather than signed prints. Choose the keepsake you prefer; there is no need to book both. See our audio message prompts if hearing guests’ voices is your priority.
